On the 2nd of February 2023, Argentina’s minister of science Daniel Filmus visited the Korea Institute of Fusion Energy to discuss possibilities for collaboration between Korea and Argentina in the areas of fusion research and development. He was joined by the president of Argentina’s National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA), Dr. Adriana Serquis for more in-depth discussions on fusion research collaboration. 

The vice president of KFE, Dr. Si-Woo Yoon remarked, “We believe there can be a good synergy from the collaboration between CNEA and KFE, especially in the field of tokamak plasma simulations and fusion engineering technologies relevant to lithium,” expressing his gratitude for the interest in KSTAR and Korean fusion energy research.
